The more junior you are, the easier it will be because you won’t be trying to enter a new industry at an advanced level of knowledge - or pay level! While there’s a lot of transferable soft skills (like safety and supervisor training), the geology skills are really going to have to start from scratch if you have only ever studied and worked within the minerals industry (like I had done). Everyone has a different starting point and desired end result so my goal is to just give you an idea of what worked for me so you can use this as a starting point for things to consider in your own circumstances.
